Children continue to adopt and adapt to cultures that are anti-christian because parents have allowed them access to contents on social media and other media unhelped. The extent to which media affects an average child is immeasurable, it’s a gate that must be guarded by parents. These have become strong forces in the thought pattern of the average youth all around the world. In the 21st century, the biggest influence of our day is the Media: the TV stations, the cable network, social media and many more.
Teachings in churches also do not address parenting enough despite we being in a pandemic of raising uncultured and untaught children. And even the few that are available, christians do not look that way when purchasing. I’ve been to many bookstores nationwide and we are stacked in the area of books on spiritual growth, relationships and marriages, but we have limited books in the area of Parenting on the shelves. Parenting has for long been neglected by many even in the Kingdom.
So, this is not an address to unbelievers, but majorly to believers. I have seen children come out of Christian homes only to become a menace and a societal problem. Parents do all but parent their children despite it expectedly being their major duty as the name suggests. The biggest neglect of parents in this time is strangely parenting.
